Started fishing at 6:30am., using a 1/32 oz. jig with BG Outlaw Special, I worked a dock in 10 feet of water. I<br />caught 10 nice crappie, with most holding off of the dock. When action slowed, I made a long run to fish a deep drop.<br />On third cast I catch a smallmouth, a 16 incher with big hops. When I got him in, he had a bowed look a joker 
,<br />And pulled like a tank. Nothing else here, I ran to a dock in 9 feet of water. It had a paper posted on the dock, that <br />said it had been sprayed for weeds on 8/3/11. I tried it anyway, third cast I catch something that pulled harder than<br />the smallmouth I had just caught. No wonder, another smallie even bigger. He didn&#39;t jump, just headed for every<br />post under the dock. Right at 20 inches, pretty fish. Nothing else here, I got another dock in 8 feet of water, with little <br />current, on a 7 count with a slow retrieve was the trick.Caught some solid crappie here. Switched to a BG slab slayer<br />in Sunriser, and got them hitting again. Tried 2 more docks, no good. Then around 12:00, fished a dock in 12 feet of<br />water, where I picked them off steadily.Must have caught 10 or so here. Most of these were near the bottom. I fished<br />about 3 more docks catching 3 more keeper fish. 2 good periods for me today, one at 6:45, the other at 12:00. I<br />finished with 33 keeper crappie, all released. Quit at 3:00.
