well got to the top of augar falls looked over the edge and low and behold what i thought was a low enough CFS was not so i could not get across the washed out bridge.
. And not wanting to walk the three miles one way in the 100 deg weather on the twin side i opted for hagerman. so i lost another 1/2 hr getting back onto the interstate (stupid construction) and headed to lower salmon falls dam. I crossed at shoe string and came up the back road to the dam. walked across the spill way and started fishing from the point. from 1045am to 245pm i managed 5 fish and had two others hooked up that spit the hook (one was massive im wondering if it was ether the 7 and a half footer or the 8ft 3 incher or some other fish i wish i could have found out) i had to get back to poky so i could go out to AF and sturgeon fish with dad. got there about 6 and he my uncle and i each brought in two fish a piece so in all it turned out to be a great day. as soon as i get my camera to turn on again ill try and upload some pics.

Hard to imagine that the river is still up so high this late in the year. Was the hike across the spillway about the same as when we were up there last time? Fishing for sturgeon (and catching them) at two different locations in the same day -- life is good.[

Not sure which was worse, having wet feet all day or trying to walk through that extremely tall grass (or whatever it is) and try to not trip on the rocks. My leg is still not fully healed.[frown]
