Sport and I started fishing at 6:35am. We worked a dock in 10-12 feet of water
with 1/32 oz. jigs using BG MoGlo Sunrise slab slayers and Outlaw Special baby shad.
Most would hit on a 8 count or slow retrieved at an 8 count. We caught 10 here in an hour
and looked for a big day. Made several long runs only to pick up a few straglers here and there.
Go-to places are dead. We are finding crappie on B and C spots. With 26 crappie on the clicker
at 2:15, we made one last stop on a dock in 15 feet of water. We wanted to get to 30. They turned
on after a repositioning of the boat. An 11-15 count, produced 8 nice crappie to save the day. Sport
and I finished with 34 keeper crappie, Sport took home 13. The rest released. We quit at 3:00. Rain
and cooler weather much needed to get the crappie going good.
