Went out for about 3 hrs Saturday afternoon with my grandaughter. What a helper and a great partner!

We put in at Grey's Landing and I was surprised to see how high the water still was. I tried trolling with the 4 hp motor and could seem to go slow enough, so when we got to the West side we traded places and I sat in the middle and ran the electric troller.

I had noticed she was hanging on to the rod just at the end and no sooner had her move her hand to where she was also holding on the reel than she had her fish on. The drag was set right and she just reeled and held on as the bow danced and ran around and dove under the boat. She had a blast.

Finally she was landed and we found a towel so she could hold her up for a picture. The Smile tells it all.

We fished some more before the breeze increased enough to cause some small whitecaps and I found my usual "short" bass.

The small white caps made me think it was time to head in. We still got wet with some spray, it felt sooo good, it was hot.

The water temp was 71 and we fished mainly around the 10' mark. [fishin]

Fantastic trip. I can't get enough of the "family" outing pictures. It is sure great to to the joy on the kids' faces as they catch fish!

Me too. I LOVE to see young 'uns having a great time fishing. Beats the snot out of Xbox, PlayStation, or whatever artificial entertainment is out there. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to see you pass it on to your grandaughter! You are making memories she will remember always![Smile]

Looks like you guys had a great time.

My grandaughter is only 6 mo. old but you can bet I'll be taking her fishing as soon as she can hang on to a "Barbie" fishing rod!
