Out today with regular client/friend Alan Stanley. Alan and I fished from daylight-11am then I went back out and joined Bill after a quick lunch at the Marina.

Great day to be on the water with overcast skies, wind, almost felt like fall out there this morning. Spinnerbaits, Topwater, Drop Shots, and Gay Blades all produced today. We fished submerged timber catching fish suspended from 15-45ft.

I've been boating a Walleye or two each day lately, ran across them by accident as usual. Today we really set in and tried to put some pressure on the fish and it worked out well. We boated 7 Walleye for the day and lost another at the boat. Our 7 Walleye weighed approx 35lbs. We did weigh a couple at 6+ and 5.67lbs. All the Walleye were caught on Gay Blades fished vertical over deep submerged timber. Outside of Spring this was the best Walleye day I've ever had. If anyone is interested in this, follow points out into deep (60-120ft) and watch for the submerged timber. The first group of trees you come to are typically top out tallest and fish are over lots of them, some Walleye, some Spots, White fish, etc.

Here are some pics including Alan with a great 4lb Spot and the Walleye (before and after) And also the Bill Payne-Train with one of his PIG Spots he caught today on a Jerkbait.

I'll be back out Saturday Night and Sunday morning, if you see the white & blue Skiff with the big Spotted Bass on side of it, stop and say hello.

Thanks again Alan. You are a great guy and I always enjoy your company.

LB
