I had put some Merc QuickKleen in my gasoline tank per Maddog's suggestion and wanted to get out this morning and run the boat for a few miles. I was out only 1 hour and 45 minutes. A lot of that was running the boat. I did crappie fish for about 1 hour of that time. I landed 3 keeper crappie, 1 throwback crappie and 1 spotted bass during that brief fishing time. All fish released.

The boat never did skip any during the running today. I probably ran about 10-15 miles total and stopped a couple of times to let the boat sit. I want to run at least 2 tanks of gasoline out before I make any judgments on how much good if any that this will do. I still suspect that the ghost problem is electronic, but time will tell.

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that when I got in this morning, Wanda showed me the box from Lowrance that contained my new Elite 5 unit. The bad news is that it is not compatible with my Ram mounts and worse yet, it is not compatible with my Navionics Hot Maps chip that has all my waypoints and structures marked. emoBang emoBang I will have to start all over marking stuff instead of fishing for a while. I'm gonna have to be trained on the use of this new unit too. Oh well, the good thing about that is I will be able to push back dementia as I learn how to use this thing.

Now, what to do with the Ram mount and the Hotmaps chip? emoDoh emoScratch

emoBigSmile emoGeezer
