Went out fishing today. Hit Beaver Dick first, couldn't get decent fish to hit on anything, and the weeds along the bank where we were fishing were so bad lures weren't really an option. Did catch a couple chubs on worms right outside the weed beds, and I gave the fly fishing thing a shot but still don't have a huge fly selection or know what I'm doing...had one fish come up and hit a gray caddis, but that was all the action I had there and I didn't hook him.
Headed home somewhat disappointed, decided to swing by Freeman Park. Threw a holographic rainbow panther martin about three dozen times and about halfway through managed to hook into a pretty little brown, about 12". First real fish I've caught in over a month - I was pretty stoked.

Hope everybody else's summer has gone better, lol. I'm about ready for fall to kick in.
