I caught 40 in 7 hours and spent a couple of those hours goofing off with odd flies that I have in my bag, you know the kind that someone said always work but never did for you.

Get up there before it gets picked over. Leeches did the best but wooly buggers worked too. I even caught a couple on a minnow pattern that was almost as big as the fish.

You know if anyone wants to catch planters they can just check the stocking report[laugh]. Yes it was stocked on 9/7. I actually look at the report to know what water to avoid[sly]. DWR however has gotten me once this year because they didn't list a stocking on my favorite creek and I ran into it.

Oh, I didn't know they planted browns and I caught over fifteen that were brown trout.

That is pretty much the normal catch for me there. In fact usually more brown than bow, but this also depends on where.
You can go ahead and tell everyone exactly where...LOL

I was just lightheartedly kidding you. You're right they only plant the rainbows not the browns.

Wow, things have finally picked up there. Had a ton of luck in the spring there but not much over the summer. Glad to hear you had a good time. Were you on shore or in a toon. For me the inlet on the east side has been really productive this spring.

I was in a toon and fished the whole place.
