Well, Churly and Ramjack left the door open for me but I could not step through it. 
Yesterday was a make or break day for the AOY honors and just could not keep them on or hook them up. Our morning started like I hoped with six big blow ups. First one I hooked but it came right off, bent the rod well for just a second on a frog. Second, third and forth blow ups were both on a frog and a spook, good hits but no hook up. They seemed to be just slapping at it. emoBang Finally the fifth blow up was good, set the hook and rod doubles, up came one that looked to be a good 4.5 pounds. emoDance 65 lb braid and HD rod was no match for it. Got it coming in well, all was like it should be, wetwillie had the net beside me, got it about six feet from us and was watching her. She just at that point appeared to open her mouth and the frog just came out. emoVomit Made us both sick. One more good blow up after that one and they just totally stopped. emoScratch All that was in about the first hour.<br /><br />After that we never got back on anything. I think we boat six bass with only one that would keep off a spinner bait. emoRolleyes Had the winning bass hit that morning, could have taken AOY honors but I could not execute. Other then the fishing it was a great day. Could not have asked for better company, weather, tournament, fellowship,....you name it, great day except the bass catching. emoBig
