Nice area anyway. I like all the trees in the background. Of course the bass are a nice plus too!

So how far south and how far east? I definitely like the trees as well.

Well, its not that big of a deal. Im not sure if it is even Alexander (aka...poop lagoon) to the local people.

I didn't realize that im supposed to keep it a secret.....I will try not to upset people in the future and work on not being such a *******! lol

If you're going tp post, and i hope you will, it would be good to learn the etiquette of good posts. i.e. Hot spotting is just bad manners, you apparently didn't realize the offense so you are more then forgiven.[Wink] Just use your common sense and you'll do just do fine.[Smile][Smile] Good to hear from ya.

Your right it is.. as for it being called poop lagoon? Not sure which locals you are referring too but me and every one I fish with from soda like it.. for reasons untold and I didn't mention it because it has been hit pretty hard this year.. which is fine due to the carp population. However last night I fished a spot where I caught nothing but some really nice cats. Didn't even see carp in the spot and the water in the spot was really nice wasn't the same murky color as the rest of the place.. but yeah every one I know in soda love Alexander. Didn't appreciate. The calling out on the spot but its OK your new to the sight live anarn.. oh and DMA- send me a PM I finally tried that new spot I was telling you about and it is great for the kitties..

Any southeast Idaho shops sell shad (say that four times fast)?

You can catch channels on just about anything, but I never had better luck hookin' into big ones than when I used fresh shad as cut bait. The meat is tough and bony, and the skin is very leathery, so a few chunks of shad often lasted the entire day.

I'd typically run two or three good-sized chunks on a large hook (at least 1/0), attach a sinker some two feet above the hook, and cast my line as far out as it'd go. The big hook deterred pests like mudcats (aka pollywogs or bullheads), which might nibble at the bait but couldn't swallow it.
