Hit the meadows area today. Air temp (7:30AM) driving in registered 28 degrees and 68 when we left (1:30PM). Water temp was 58 at start and 61 when leaving.

Between the two of us we netted 18, mostly slot cutts. A few smaller Bows. Missed as many if not more than we caught. Used tube jigs casting toward shore in 20 to 30 foot of water. And also worm under (5ft) a small bobber. Kept a couple of Bows for dinner.

Thanks for the berry report. Looks like the air temps are cooling down and the fishing is getting hotter. Any size to those rainbows?

I was up there as well today. We left at 11 but by then we had probably landed 16-18. We fished shallower water from 5 to 15 feet in Chicken Creek.

The 2 of us fly fishing between us caught as many as the one guy with us throwing a tube jig. We mostly caught nice size rainbows and 4 cutts, from 19-22". The first bow came on a fly and weighed in at 3 1/2 pounds.

I want to thank the DWR and anyone else involved in getting them to stock larger rainbows that don't get eaten up right away by those big cutts. All the bows we caught were at least 14" with the majority being around 18" and fat. This is the first year I've caught nice rainbows in the last 10 years up there.

Fishing was so good we spent some time dry fly fishing and my buddy managed 2 nice fish on a hopper in 10 feet of water.

We kept 4 between the three of us which is plenty of fish for a great meal or 3.

I was up there today too.

Caught 21 (one hook up had a fish on both flies) over at the Bryants Fork area. Caught most of them on a green crystal killer in 12 to 25 feet of water.
