I was thinking that with the fronts coming through the bite might turn on. Boy...was I right. I went out from about 3;00 to 7:30. Second cast with a crank I caught one just short. Moved a couple more times and the next one was a nice keeper at 2.5 lbs. Then another beauty right at 5 lbs. These fish were running about 17 to 20 feet deep on a crank. emoThumbsup About that time the sky fell and I headed for an empty dock to take cover. About thirty minutes later it went on through. emoRain <br /><br />Moved to some shallow water grass edges and started busting nice bass. I had five keepers between 3 to 3.5 lbs with several more keepers in the two pound range. I mostly caught these on top water with an occasional swim bait and spinner bait bite. emoDance I must have boated about 20 bass this evening with all but two over 15 inches. With the one 5 lber and the five three pounders my best five would have broke 18 lbs. emoApplause I lost a couple other good ones and had another big one explode on a swim right by the boat as I was bringing it up. Looked to be another five. emoBadLanguage If I could have got that one I would have broke the 20 pound mark.<br /><br />I sure hope to do that well in two weekends for the last CBA. I love this time of year as the water starts to cool and the bass move shallow looking to feed up on the millions of shad all over the lake. emoTongue <br /><br />C-ya on the water..... emoAngler Jmax
