Spent saturday and sunday fishing at brownlee. Put in at woodhead and tried the river area. Fish finder showed fish, but nothing would bite. (tried worms and jigs)
Headed downstream and tried various spots and depths. Caught a few small bass. Moved to the powder river arm and tried to go up river. didn't get far and the water got shallow fast.. Did some fishing in the 10' water, and caught a few small bass. Showed jillions of fish in 100' plus water, ranging from 15' to 90', but couldn't get them to bite on anything (jigs, nibbles, worms, plugs, rapallas)..

Next day fished near the dam and found some bluegill. Caught some really nice ones (9" long and 4.5" deep). Caught approx. 30 gills, and one nice 14" bass. Only caught 1 crappie the entire 2 days.

Payette bass fishing club was there. Looked like nearly all got limits with some nice 2lb + bass.

i'm going to go fish brownlee, oxbow, hells canyon next weekend. did you catch the bass on crappie stuff or were you fishing for them. tired of strike getting pounded i wanted a diffferent flavor.

Caught some bass on worm and some on crappie jigs.
