Hey all,
I am going down to strawberry with a cousin for a day or so before we both head out in different military branches. This will likely be the last time were together for a year or so and I want it to be rememberable. We plan to fish from shore with lures but neither of us have been there for fishing and have a feeling a skunk may come haha.

I was just hoping I could get a bit of info on where we may find a gilled creature or two. Were not keeping and we are respectful fisherman.. Obviously don't need secret spots and lures, but knowing a general direction would be great. Thanks all for all of your help!

i usually do very well casting large kastmasters or daredevils up and down the shoreline, get them as far out as you can and fish spots that drop of relatively quickly and have little or no reeds (these can make it impossible to fish). try fishing near river inlets and where you can see fish rising. a lot of people have much more complicated tactics but i can honestly say i have always had a blast up there using this simple method! pm if you want more details! good luck!

When you plan on doing this?

We plan on leaving at about 4am tomorrow morning and arriving at the lake at 6am. Depending on how it goes we may stay up there at a cabin over night and go down early the next day as well. Thanks!
