I've lucked into a few fall fish before, but this year I'd like to focus on knowing what I'm doing a little better. do any of you pros know which rivers are wade-fisherman friendly in the fall, and what order I should be thinking there will be fish in them to catch? I'm out of the Boise area, but like the idea of a road trip if there are fish to be attempted-

thanks

I dont do any fall steelhead, too busy hunting, but from the reports I've heard it seems like this year your best bet is to make a trip up to the clearwater for some fall metal heads and possibly even some chinooks. Maybe some people can chime in for exact spots as I spend most of my time on the salmon. Good luck man!

My buddy tells me were getting 3000 fish at a time in waves over the dam. When I've fished the Clearwater, it's been 5 degrees or below outside> We bank fished out of Kamiah and Orofino in the dead of winter. There was no way I was getting in the water. As it was my coveralls had froze from the mist of the water.
