The Idaho Statesman produces lazy fishing reports (the Outdoor section's favorite saying is "should be good"), but the Coeur d'Alene paper cranks out great, researched, weekly reports. Sounds like the fishing in the short stretch from the confluence to the bridge on the Clearwater is beginning to heat up. (If you have ever fished that stretch of water at night with lighted Brad's lures, you know it is a surreal experience!). The chinook are getting active on Lake CDA and the pike are also cruising. With the horrible F and G reports--esp. when compared to Washington and Oregon F & G's--and the southern papers, I am jealous of the fine reporting from up north. This week's report is at top of this post. Mike
