What's the latest news from Bear Lake? Anybody still having any luck on the East Side? I got plans to fish Monday and Tuesday and I would like to know before I go whether I am wasting my time. The Mac's should be going into spawn mode soon but I am hoping just not quite yet. CV, you been catching any fish still??

I have not been over there for about ten days due to the fact that the Rainbow Cove ramp has been closed for repairs. It is too long of a haul for my 30 hp from first point. Planning on going up Sunday and will report.

Fished the east side yesterday from 8 - 3, mostly trolling and then tried jigging. One 3 lb mack trolling, but caught bottom twice. Marked lots of fish, but could not interest them. The several boats in the area we talked to were also having a difficult go of it.

It was tough out there today, we caught a few but nothing like we did a few weeks ago. One small cutt. mack and a nice rainbow. Water temp was 65* and for most of the day the weather was good. They are done with the pavement improvement but it doesn't start until you drive down the gravel road a little, it was nice the rest of the way.
