Got a late start today, picked up Candi for a half day trip. Water temp around 77<br />degrees. Beautiful day! I caught 2 good crappie on my first 2 casts, on a 12 ft. deep <br />dock. We went to the run and gun approach to finding crappie. Talked to Rangerman,<br />on one of our flybyes, he was crappie fishing too. Tried the shallow crappie bite, but<br />had no luck. Found 3 good docks in 8-10 feet of water, where we caught most of our <br />crappie. Outlaw Special, nuff said. CU got me with 3 more fake bite tricks. I invented <br />the game, and she makes me look like a damn fool. She is a master of diversion, &quot;Hey<br />somebody is pulling in here,&quot; I look back, and she taps my line with her rod. Needless to <br />say, I set the hook like an idiot and proceed to get horse-laughed. How demoralizing!<br />We fished from 1:00pm.-5:00pm.Finished with 24 keeper crappie, all released. Talked to <br />Maddog for a sec., as he was headed out for a late stripe hunt.
