I should have known when Colby told me Friday evening he would be there and then that morning he never showed...some things were just not going to be right that day. 
I called him several times and as of right now still have not been able to get the young man. emoScratch I do hope he is o.k.?<br /><br />I went solo and represented our team none the less. I just knew after having 19 lbs last Thursday evening the 22nd and then on the Tuesday dog fight the 26th they were still there and I had 18 lbs with my best five and won it with my best three at 11.93 lbs that this one I had a chance to win. emoSmile Dear Ol&#39; Mother Nature changed all that on me. Temps dropped and the wind killed my grass edge bite. The area I had been catching those fish had white caps most of the day and they started early. emoDoh I had to scramble for anything I could find but as often on the weekends the places I would have like to fish that were out of the wind had a line of boats in them emoMad I had a total of nine bites that day. Four I missed all together, one on a frog I saw that looked to be a good three, one on a crank, one on a trap and one on a spook....all missed. Then I lost one on a trap and another that felt real good on a spinner bait. emoAngry Finally the three keepers I got in the boat all came on cranks but only small keepers. emoRolleyes I guess I needed Colby to bring in two big ones to finish out our limit. emoAngel <br /><br />I had hoped to do well on this tournament to move up into the top fifty anglers for the CBA classic. That group does not have to pay the entry..only big bass. Looks like we will more then likely be paying the entry. The good new is with that 33rd place we got 69 points and that will keep Colby in the top youth spot. It also will get us both a new Nuclear Rod each thanks to Damon (Cutthroat) for his sponsorship of the Youth team. Not a bad year for us and the two times I had boat issues and we unable to make weigh in hurt us. emoBang <br /><br />This is the last year that Colby could fish the youth team division so I hope many of you will find you a youth and fish the CBA next year.
