Finally got to take Dad fishing after several weeks of promising that we will go soon. Got to the Lake around 8:00 AM to put in at Dayton boat dock. There must have been a sixty trucks and trailers there super crowded up in that portion of the lake today. Anyway, got to first spot in the mouth of creek and caught five or six crappie with only one keeper. On to next spot only to find a boat sitting on it emoBang and so it was for the rest of the day, every spot we tried someone was already there. Tried a few other new spots and picked up a few more but the fish had the problem of their tails being to close to their heads. Ended the day with only two keeper size crappie, probally about a dozen in all. We fished 8 to 14 FOW all day trying docks, edges of grass and blowdowns. Water temps 71-72 degrees. All in all had a good day out with Dad fishing.
