Got the new to me boat out today for it's first fishing trip for me. Got a late start and only fished about 3 hours. Caught 18 crappie with 11 being keepers. I had 7 slabs that were destined to come home with me and then I got lazy and turned them loose. Fish were caught on docks with 1/32 Outlaw Special BG shads. Most fish were caught in about 15-20 minutes. I have never seen so many bass boats on the water during the middle of the week in the early evening. Everyone was driving like they were running to their first spot - wide open. A couple of times I saw as many as 4 boats flying side by side up the river - just seemed a little abnormal. Saw a few wrapped boats too. Is there a big bass tourney coming up? See ya on the water....Jim
