I stopped by a local lake today just in time to see yet another beutiful sun set.
I pulled out the fly rod and waved it around a bit while watching the sun set behind the lake.
there was nothing swiming around shore, and the skeeters were more than eager to make their daily withdrawal from the blood bank. "thay didnt get much cuz this bank is busted.." lol
any hoo, I did not get a nibble.
so I walked up on shore and looked for a hatchling, found a roly poly bug, put him on the hook, not sure but I think he flew off some where. posibly on the back cast.
Looking over the lake, I watched looking for splashes for any trout that may have wanted to present themselves to me. the lake was almost like glass with the exception of a few feathered swimmers that were ducking their heads from the sky.
anyway, to make a short story longer, I did not get a single bite and came home empty handed but did enjoy the sunset.
