hellatious cold winds set in today giving me the urge to do some winder shoppin for Ice Shanties.
I looked at a dozen or so,
may have to go back again and do some re-evaluations.
I realy did not care for the low seats some of them offered, I might not be able to get back up out of my seat.
dont realy care for the quilted roofs. the quilts look plasticky and I am afraid they may break in a short amount of time.
I was impresed by the all in a sled
I was impressed by some of the loc pin framing.
yep, deffenantly have to go back for some more winder shoppin. [:p]

[#800000]That Frabil one seater looks like something I could get into. Been thinking about a one seater for two seasons now. The QuickFlip 3 I currently have can be a bear to set up/take down in the wind when I'm fishing solo - which is more often than not.[/#800000]

[#800000]Still softwater fishing here and using the boat. And duck season is on for the next 3 months, so it will be a little while before I drag out the hard deck equipment. But it doesn't cost anything to 'winder shop'.[/#800000]

[#800000]Are the loc pins metal or plastic? Plastic has a habit of breaking when towed behind a power sled/ATV over ice bumps at high speeds. Been there; done that, too many times.[/#800000]

good question, the lever to push the rib buttons in are plastic, but I dont see how they could break in tow,
but I will look in to the loc pins closer, I realy didnt examine it to close, there were a couple people doing the wild thing in the display shack next to me so I realy did not want to stay there that long, But that dose give me the excuse to go back to the toy store again. Thanks [:p]
for my self, I dont need a shack, just a hundred yards from my hole is my house, and on the quad it is like a 10 min pack up and ride and I am in the house again if I get cold.
I was thing more for having a shack so I can have a fishing bud come out with me, he dont like the cold to much...
I will deffenantly be pulling it behind the quad, so I will have to get the hard pole towing attachment because I cant have it slaming in to the quad going down the hill.

I wrapped the rope around the axle on the quad 5 times the first time pulling the jetsled behind the quad with a rope. It was also the last time I ever pulled it with a rope. I learn pretty fast for an old fart. [
