Water temp: 71
Clarity: 3-5ft

Been out 4 of last 5 days w/ mixed results. The bite is at a stand still right now. The water temp hasn't fell in 3 weeks and that along with turnover in most of the creeks have things a bit tough.

My best bite has been early using white 1/4 oz Assassinator buzzbait and jerkbaits on steep/vertical mainlake banks. After the first hour I'm using jig heads and drop shots rigged w/ Big Bite Shacking Squirrels in Hologram and Kriets Magic. I've also caught a few fish using the drop shot fly (sexy shad) tipped with Hologram this week. I've also caught a few on jerkbaits in the middle of the day bright sunny clay banks in less than 5ft of water . As always during turnover there are some fish super shallow and some super deep. We've caught fish from topwater-60ft deep this week.

Here's a few pics from the last few days including a photo Joe Thomas sent me of this giant Caribu he killed in Newfoundland. He says "Looks like this will be the new archery record Woodland Caribu. Green Net score is 364, which if correct, would beat the previous record (1966) by 20 inches!"

Here's my last available days in October if interested in working on fall techniques or chase a trophy Spot, drop me a line and lets do it. 20th, 23-25th, 28, 29, 31st.

LB
