I think after I finnish this sift at 7am and maybe get an hour or three of sleep im heading out to go hit a couple of small streams and see what i can find. anyone free to go out?

got out and did ok no browns though. then thurs i went out again with texas transplant to a creek neither of us had never fished before i picked up one small brown he picked up two decent sized browns and a little guy and we both pulled in countless cuts cutbows a few of witch were decent sized

Indeed, we had a good time in search of a trophy brown. We wound up landing four browns, a mountain whitefish, and countless cutts and cuttbows.

Here's a shot of the largest brown, a very long and slender specimen:



I didn't have a chance to measure it, but my guess is it was in the neighborhood of 14 inches.

And here are a couple of photos of thebug releasing a healthy cutt that put up quite a fight:



Look at thebug go to town with that thing ... like a surgeon!



This was probably the day's biggest cutt, but most we landed had a similar pattern. Is this the "fine-spotted Snake River" variety? The cutts I've caught elsewhere here in southeast Idaho look quite different.
