Thanks for any tips,never tried one,and don't want to kill any fish,except for the med size cats for the fryier.I'll document any big ones and I want to be able to release them,can I do that with a trot line,[#4040ff]catch and release[/#4040ff]?.[#4040ff]How long should I leave the line out?[/#4040ff]I'm only thinking of putting a few baits not all. I'm thinking of using a styro float and a line going down from there with a big weight,and the trotline from there streched along the bottom,I want to keep it way far from shoar so nobody robs my catch.P.S.I've seen some 20lb cats in my lake,one wahed up choked on a big tilapia ,and one I saw while snorkeling,it had been circling a dead longneck turtle that got hooked possibly ang got tangled near the bottom and drowned turtle was suspended in the water.
