October 11-13th I'm planning a steelhead trip. Not really sure where to go or what to do...this will all be a first for me. Riggins, Hells Canyon, up the Salmon towards Stanley are all possibilities I'm just not sure where the majority of fish are?

I'll be roughing it in a tent for the weekend and will be fishing sunup to sundown from the bank.

If anyone can spare some advice I'd greatly apprectiate it. Also are there any campgrounds in the Riggins area that supply electrical hookups?

If you're gonna fish the Salmon I would definitely fish closer to Salmon or below North Fork. The fish will be scarce towards Stanley this early. We are getting several close to Salmon and they doing very well below North Fork in the canyon. I mostly bank fish too and do quite well around The Fourth of July Campground. Lots of good holes within a few miles of it.

Stopped in Riggins for an hour and a half after fishing down river most the weekend. Buddy and I stacked up 1 nate, 1 indian fish, and 1 keeper.
