Ordered one of these today. Should make it a lot easier to get my wife out on the ice. Can't wait for hard water!

Is anyone else getting anything new this year?

Your wife? What about me? Is there room for all of us in there? I wonder how long it will take you to burn this thing down with your Mr. Buddy.

I knew you were out there...........somewhere...........lurking.....

About 35.745821 seconds to burn it down, by my best estimates.

No room for you. You're too tall.

If you walk on your knees we might get 3 in there.

i purchased a new nils ice auger and i volunteered you to pick it up for me at cabelas! thanks man ! I cant wait for Henrys in Dec. It will be a blast.

I ordered the same one a few years ago. They ended up shipping a blue one with no cabelas logo instead of the black one. We've enjoyed it and it makes ice fishing much more comfortable, your gonna love it. The only problem I've had is a few grommets have poped through the fabric. They're not too bad to repair, get yourself a grommet repair kit and your good to go.

MH, very cool. Thanks for the feedback. If it isn't black, I'm taking it back! I especially chose this one because it was black. I want to soak up all the heat I can.

I found the Eskimo quick fish six to be a little too big, so I sold it and bought the insulated Fat fish 949i. It is just about as heavy and a lot bigger in the carrying case than the six was. I have to figure out how to keep my wives feet warm to keep her interested and I don't think Mickey mouse boots will do it either.

Youll love the big shack, ive got the eskimo 6! Couple of heaters and my kids can go anytime, they love it! Its kind if a pain to set up with alot of wind but worth it. I bought a bunch of 3ft bungees to replace the support strings that is better, I recommend getting a CO monitor for the times you have a few heaters going in there along time. 20ppm is max for 8 hours any more than that and its dangerous.

Mine is similar and I love it. Like maghunter said the gromets are weak. I had to reinforce the area around the gromets. You are going to want to use a cordless to put in the ice screws makes it much faster.

Just went by the Wally World on Utah in the Falls. They've moved the ice fishing gear up the the fly shop in the front this year. So I thought I'd take a look since I couldn't possibly need any more gear . . .

They have the full sole strap on ice cleats by HT in large sizes, (mine size 15) for $25.00. Pretty cool deal considering I didn't have to pay shipping on the net!!!

The gromets are the weak spot. I also use a cordless to put in the ice screws. I have other screws that have bigger thread but a smaller shaft on the screw and they go in way easier by hand than the ones that come with the tent. The 6 man is great once it is up. I do not move as much if I bring it. I would love to get a flasher

Trying to decide between the Quickfish 2 or the Quickfish 3. I'm 6'2" so I'm leaning towards the Q3. I've been known to pull sleds a long ways on foot so . . .

Any suggestions?

I would go with the 3. There is nothing worse than not having enough room. Not really much weight difference.

I would go with the bigger one. You won't notice the weight difference that much. I pull my command post no problem.

I got the 6 so I could fit more family or friends into it and I'm glad I did. Even when there is only two of us on the ice the extra room is great. The weight isn't any issue either as long as its in a sled. Definitely worth a consideration. When I got mine I was able to find it online for just over 200$.

Thanks guys! I guess the 3 is the deal. I have a larger Frabil with the metal poles and it's to bulky to use without pulling two sleds!

Just got the same tent... How do you like it so far?

Just picked up the 6x12 HUB at Cabelas and set it up in the garage. MAN, THIS THING IS HUGE! Can't wait to get this thing set up on some ice!

My grand daughter loves it[cool] I set it up in the house and she thought it was great, blankets pillows and all. The only thing I don't like about it, is when it is taken down the dimensions are just a little too long to fit in a sled. The Quick fish six was smaller when taken down, but I found it a little hard to keep warm when it was really cold. I can hardly wait for ice on.
