I was out at Gov' Wash this early afternoon. I hoped to get out there before dawn but this tired body was not able to get up until later. Man its been a tough week workwise.
I noticed the water white capping as I pulled off the kayak. I was hoping for a reprieve on the wind but no luck.
Since I took the trouble to drive out there I launched and was soon swept toward some shore anglers. I was able to paddle around but when I got a hit on the fishfinder, by the time I dropped anchor I was a 100 yards from my original spot. After about an hour of this, I paddled back to shore, reloaded the car and headed home.
It was nice to just get out. of the house. Atleast it cleared up my muddled head but I would have like to catch some fish.

Those caps can get intimidating when you're in the deep water, I've been stranded before miles away from my car when it suddenly picked up and got so bad I had to beach for a few hours. Wind is my fishing nemesis, those are the days when I birds-nest, lose my favorite lure, fall in the water, spill my tackle containers everywhere, and only hook up on one fish...that gets away!!!

Yeah it was bad man!!! I was there from about 6:30 this morning till 2pm... The morning was awesome but as the day went on it got bad... When I left at 2 it was capping bad out there and the bite was over... It's kind of screwy this week catching fish, most of fish are coming around 9am to 11am and then it's over... The dinks are biting at sunrise from my 3 exp this week...

I was out there Sat and Sunday. Saw you out there on the yack. We had the blue/gray tent at the top of the launch ramp and the Nissan Extera.
The shad were popping and the stripers were boiling.
Got only one striper all weekend on a blue/chrome rattle trap.

Yeah, I remember seeing the tent and car....too bad we don't have some kind of signal indicating we are fellow Nevada Fishing Forum members.

The only thig we have are some small window stickers.
