We have a new sponsor on BFT
http://www.wavefishing.com/ that has offered to give free $25 E certificates for their product. This will be a two part contest, the first part will be a random drawing of all that enter the contest, the second part will be the best original reply, that also included a fishing report in the reply, so there will be two E certificates given away on this contest. There are some good examples of what we are looking for in the original thread, that I started to judge interest.

I will reply to this post with the two examples, so everyone can see what we are looking for. Let the fun begin and for those of you that don't care for this contest please send me a PM with your ideas on doing a new contest because we will being doing this for the next 12 months.

Here is what you need to do to get in on the random give away, go to
http://www.wavefishing.com/
select a lure that you think will catch a certain species of fish, copy a picture of the lure, then come back to this thread and reply with the pic of the lure and what you think you could catch with it. Below is an example of what I'm looking for:
4" Tiki Toad can be used to catch bass.

gstott posted it but it is a good example of what we are looking for to win the second E certificate.

"I've used their stick baits, tubes and frogs, and I think they make great stuff. I like all their swirl color patterns. I mostly make my own soft baits now, but I would still be interested, they have some things I don't have molds for. Here is one of their tubes in action:"

It can, if you post it on this thread. I like the way you did the inline pic on it too, in my opinion that is what qualified it for the report part of the contest, although a little story going along with it, would make it do better when it comes to selecting the winner.

Nice, I also have the Tiki snake for fishing S fl.I used Manns hardnose 10" snake,I'm sure trout would like it,ever try a frog for trout such as this one.Paulpro tip, throw away the double hooks on any frog,I've come across to many fishermen who have never caught anything on their frog cause of the double hook design,I let the same guys fish my modded and they finally landed some fish.I love modding stuff, actually I'm in the process of modding my life right now.Its more difficult to set two hooks at a time.O'and remember, keep those lines tight Paulpro...

The 4.5 inch "crawdude" would work for lake trout at Bear Lake or Flaming Gorge. I would rig it with a glow-paint 3/4 - 1 oz. jig head and fish it on the bottom. I've never seen this style of lure in white and I think it would give the fish something "new" to look at while jig fishing.

okay well here's the main idea from what i posted on the other one
[left]so i'm not a very experienced bass fisherman, but as i was checking out there stuff i saw the 6" Shadick softbait and intantly thought "strawberry" I think the white went along perfect with the strawberry classic white tube success while having nice retrieval capabilities. also really liked the grasshopper swirl, but there were lots of colors that i thought. here's the white verion.

i watched a guy pull a 24 or 25 inch cutt on a nearly identical soft bait on a quick jerk retrieve from shore with a carolina or texas rigging. he also caught 2 or 3 other fish while i watched before he took off to get out of the storm. call me a dreamer, but i bet i could get it to work with this bait too [

Okay, here's my new post for the contest.
I think Wave makes some really great baits. I have had great success with their stick baits, tubes and toads. I especially like the swirl patterns.
This last summer I was fishing a small reservoir in Idaho right around the beginning of post spawn. I had caught a lot of small bass on lipless cranks, worms and swimbaits, but they were all 10-12". Finally I decided to try a Wave pumpkin/chartreuse swirl 4" Tiki Tube rigged weightless. I cast it up next to a beaver dam and missed a much better fish. A couple of casts later I caught this fatty. [inline "bass small.JPG"]
It definitely got my day going in a more positive direction.
Another time I was having a fair evening at Mantua until I tied on a weightless Texas rigged 4" Tiki Stick in a watermelon swirl (I can't remember the exact color, this was several years ago). I fished it fast across the surface, walking the dog, occasionally killing it to let it fall, and the bass went nuts on it. I don't remember how many I caught, but it was pretty much non stop action until I couldn't see anymore.
