[cool]Got an invite from my fishing buddy in calif.(sealfish) to hookup some stripers that have been active lately. Friday we walked into Lake Siverwood Rec. Area from outside to start fishing before light and started to toss swimbaits inside the Cleghorn arm. Fishing was real slow so we broke for lunch and came back in the afternoon. Tossing again and Dale(sealfish) gets a blowup on the spook and then hooks up with a 1.5lb lmb. I was getting small bumps and followers on my slider.We hike to the back of the bay and cast from a long point that was getting covered with water. Out there in our waders and now darkness,I hear a boil and blind cast towards it. Slam and a nice fish is screaming drag. Finally get him in and it is a 8lb2oz striper caught on the bomber long A. Celebrate with a beer and cast some more. Two casts later and snap goes the line and my bomber. Pissed I tie on a Producer lure and figure that since the bomber floats I will retrieve it in the a.m. About six casts later,fan casting the producer, I feel like I hooked a weed. Get it in to the find that I had hooked my bomber long A!!!. Karma feels good. I retie the bomber on and cast again into the dark. Ten casts later Bang. Another nice fighter and a 5lb7oz striper hits the bank. Dale is wondering what is going on. We are tossing the same thing. After that nada, so went back to his place. At it again in the dark am and slow fishing in the rain/sleet. Again nothing in the morning so another break and attack in the afternoon. Rain has cleared and water calming down, we hit the same sunken point near dark. Still no fish for the whole day. Cast after cast then finally I hook up. Good fight and a 7lb12oz striper goes on the stringer. Dale can't believe he is not getting any action. Sorry Dale. Finally called it a night. Was great to get out there again and get on a different striper bite, thanks Dale. Caught the fish on 14lb test,7' spinningrod,and bomber long A rainbow pattern. Dale is already back at it so I know I will get a call of a DD.

Don't expect another invite!

By the end of the week I'm gonna make that 8lbs look like a freak'n minnow. Trout plant going in this week should stir up the pot a bit but in the meantime, I've gotten my share recently.
