Couldn't stand it any longer, had to go see how the ice was at Henrys. Got to the county boat ramp at noon to find one person on the ice. Two of us fished for four hours and landed 35 fish. Missed a bunch more than i'd like to admit. White paddle bugs with a mealie were the ticket. The highlight of the afternoon was my dad landing a fat 19 inch brookie while the fish and game lady was chatting with us. In fact, 25 of our fish were brookies, many over 16 inches. Ice is a spooky 3 inches, but clear and hard with very little snow on it. The roads in island park were as slick as the lake ice too. good luck if you head up. Didn't see any one at Staley's or the hatchery. Wierd.

There have been people fishing it for a week. I just didn't want to let the cat out of bag since I can't make it up till next week.

I know them. They are nuts, but I would be right there with them if I had any time this week. I hope the fish aren't scattered by next week. Its a big lake I will find the fish.
