Adam and I hit the Riverpark today at 8:15 to see what we could get into. He had a hard stop at 10:30 so we did not have a lot of time to figure out the fish and it showed.
Long story short it was TOUGH. High water and flow and strong wind made for a challenging day. Add to that the fish not wanted to play and I was glad we had to leave at 10:30. We did manage to catch 2 smallies (a 2.75 lber and a 1.75 lber), 4 spots, 2 blue cats and a big redbreast. All fish came on drop shot Gulp except for two spots, one came on a crank and the other on a pig n jig. Very slow day. I guess it was not too terrible for just over 2 hours of fishing but it sure seemed like a horrible day. Water temp was a cool 58 degrees.
Going back in the morning. Fish gotta eat sometime.
