I plan to ice fish Mantua on Sunday morning the 11 of Dec. I've never been there and any information I can get would be much appreciated. Driving from DT SLC.

I walked across the lake from the new parking area on the north side to the knoll on yesterday. Seemed solid but not recommended

We watched you three walk across the ice yesterday and was wondering how it was on that side. We were the two guys fishing near the ramp. That sure looked like a long walk.

It was singing a creaking and cracking enough - especially once the sun started on it - but seemed like good ice where we went. A nice 4 inches. Saw folks spread pretty much all over - out deeper in the middle, along the west side - up by the knoll.
Fishn wasn't stellar, but got some bites and ice-floppers.
The edges were a lot better - firms/solid than first-of-last year. We were trudging across boards/planks after xmas.
Did anyone else notice that this report was started in November - of last year? Thought that was interesting.

The wife and I fished just south of the knoll and the ice was a good 4" of clear blue solid ice. We caught alot of fish. Great first ice outing. :-)

Thanks for the info guys. Had a great trip with great conditions. Got 10 all bows. 18 in the biggest. Fished the west side by the first parking lot.
