ATHENS, TX—Texas anglers can again help state biologists improve Lone Star bass fishing by participating in Budweiser's 18th annual ShareLunker Program. The program, which begins October 1 and runs through April 30, 2004, encourages anglers to donate largemouth bass weighing 13 pounds or more to Texas Parks and Wildlife for stocking and research purposes.
Officials hope using these fish to produce hatchery fish will improve the genetics and growth rates of largemouths stocked in Texas waters.
