Slow day , started fishing at daylight and caught one right off the bat . Game on , wrong one other bite in 5 hours . the one I caught was 16 " and full of Carp minnows . Curt G.

I hope you get a big one with all the trips you have made out there; Blackfoot is still on my ice bucketlist. I don't know if I will make it out there this year, but I am sure loving the reports. Those fish are heros for eating those miserable buggers.

Did you try lip hooking some of those carp minnows on a jig? Sounds like the bait of choice!!!

I did try lip hooking one on the rod I was jigging in my shanty and dead sticking one outside the shack . I had a big trout take it in and spit it out faster than I could set the hook . I seen a lot of fish looking down the hole , but they would just look at my offering an leave . Curt G.

That is how Blackfoot has been for me since I started ice fishing it, feast or famine.

This is the first year I have ice fished it . Usually you need a snowmachine to get there . I only live 42 miles away . It is a lot cheaper to go there than Henry's and the fish fight a lot harder at Blackfoot . Curt G.

I was thinkin of going up there on Thursday. Will have to see how much, if any, snow we get out of this storm tonight and tomorrow if the road stays open. You going up through Bone I assume, right?
