On a side note about Oneida. I just noticed that they planted 4.5 million walleye fry in Oneida this year. Compared to other years and even compared to the stocking in Oakley and Salmon Falls Creek Res that is a huge number for one reservoir. They must really be serious about bumping up the number of walleye there and in the lower Bear River system, as I am sure what is in Oneida bleeds over into the river too.

I hope a good number of them dodge the smallmouths long enough to get big. In a few years the walleye fishing could be looking good.

I noticed that too, and then I got wondering if that's why the smallmouth were so fat this fall [shocked] I do love the smallies, but if they can reach a balance to where they both can do well, that would be really awesome.

Could be, all the fat smallies I reeled in this year were puking up crawdads. Try using the yum crawdads in the spring it's almost not even fair.

I've got a couple of bags of those. I'll definitely give them a try.
