My son and I hit the road early and made the trip down to Deep Creek. We did very well using Paddlebugs tipped with crawler. We fished in 13 feet of water with well over 8 inches of ice. One of the busiest places in Idaho, a lot of Utah fishermen were there injecting our state with dollars to both fish and game and the local economies! By Noon we decided to head over to Condie, as Outdoorsman 1 had me craving my first bass through the ice. After lunch we got there around 2:00 and fished till 5:00. Caught several small perch, due to my sons keen eye. Largest was near 7''! At 4:30 I iced my first ever LMB through the ice, and after measuring it for the contest quickly put it back in. Thank you for the report Outdoorsman 1; I appreciate it!

Nice Report,
I drove by and seen how many people were there and decided to wait for another day. I mean Wow! There were 4 wheelers out spinning donuts and cookies on the ice. I just kind of sat there checking it out. They looked like they were enjoying them selfs. Didn't stick around long enough to see how the fishing was.

Yeah it was crazy, however, people seemed to be giving one another space! I am usually one of the first ones there and today six trucks had me beat! If the parking lot got anymore crowded they would have needed a valet. Lots of kids catching fish, thats what really matters. Did you make it anywhere else?

I didn't. After, seeing the circus at Deep Creek. I figured, I would wait a few days. And, let things calm down. I can only imagine what the other places looked like. I can always fish when those people are in school and at work! I don't need that kind of stress in my life. [Wink]

Anyways,
