How many pros or semi pros do we have in the BFT world? Just curious to hear your story, how you got to pro status, who your sponsors are, etc. Afterall, we all want to make money fishing for a living[:p]

If you mean getting paid to fish, that would be way cool. I get paid to get people into fish and I get paid to show how to tie the flies[laugh][laugh]
Add to that, getting paid to play R&R and able to surive on both payments, life can be great!

Don't feel bad...we got skunked 3 out of the last 5 times we went fishing. Finally broke the curse yesterday at Rockport. Still can't figure out how at Causey I can see so many fish on the finder, but they all have lockjaw!

ya i killed em at rockport also my friend.. causy is one of them places the big fish are few and very far between and the perch fishing is usually hot or its dead... so fsr no good reports on causy that ive seen.. glad you hooked up into some though...[cool]

the perch are in RP you just gotta find em. i caught 3 and my dad caught 3 whenwe went last wekend and we also missed a few perch bites and lost some half way up, there good sized too.

There are very few people that make a great living fishing. Even the pro BASS circuit guys already had a lucritive career before they started making any "real" money. Sadly it's not like that boring sport, golf.

Pro?? well lots of the bass fisherman you good call pro's, sponsors yes lots of them have some as sponsors as well...
But only a few have fished the Pro tournaments like the FLW or BASS or even the WON bass tournaments..
But to really be called a pro I think they should have sponsors that pay them $ not just give them lures or pols..
There are even some that buy patches and put them on to wear..
Me I'm just retired cause work just got in the way of my fishing..

I'm a member of FLW college fishing. I don't get paid, but Sportsmens warehouse has sponsored us fully. I get to fish a tournament a month for the next four months (unless we make it to regionals and the championship). And it's all FREE [
