I am hitting Palie in the morning, anyone been down, how is the ice, do I need to bring both set ups, hard water and soft water?

I fished there tonight on about 4" of ice. There's a little open water but I'd say it the hard deck. By the way, caught some on both minnows and meal worms in about 16' of water.
