The deer look good; the ice looks bad!
With this weather it could be awhile before you can test your new stuff out.

I know [frown] im thinking if the wind doesn't get too bad tomorrow maybe look at the area below massacre rocks, time to get the crestliner back out [

I meant to ask if you tried fishing off of any of the ice edges????
[signature]
No I didn't, there was about 3 other groups there fishing i watched with binoculars for a bit but didn't see any action. I wanted to get out to Gifford and smith springs see if they were open enough to launch a boat. water was pretty low and it may be possible but it all depends on the wind. that's one place you don't want to be out in with much of a wind.

Nice pics and report. I have got to drag the boat over there one of these days and fish it. You provided me with the first look at it. Again, thanks, and Happy New Year!! Mike

took a break from hunting coyotes to stop by the upper end of goose creek. its firming right back up and out about 10 feet was about 7 to 8 inches thick. still some softer spots along the edge but did find some places to get out without a problem. didn't venture to far as i didn't have any safety equipment and only a tire iron
