I am headed out to Lake Mary and possibly lake catherine tomorrow via Big Cottonwood canyon. If you want to join all you need is your ice rod and some tackle and a will to hike! I will be bringing the ice auger and fish sonar unit.
I have an extra avalanche beacon for anyone crazy enough to join my twin and I. We are targeting lake trout and brook trout. I cannot promise fish but I can promise an adventure!

Pffft it is one of the worst snow years I can recall. We are at a dismal 26 inches compared to the average 70+ inches of normal years.
I have only hit the backcountry twice this year as I am afraid to whack rocks with the new knee. I have been to the resorts 11 times and anywhere off the groomers is ROCKY.
The avalanche conditions are bad but I will make an on-site determination tomorrow of exactly what I am getting into.
Where do you have a seasons pass to?
