Well i decided on the bear river today started over by thatcher, and then worked my way to the narrows. Fishing was very slow on the bear river.. ended up only catching 2 native rainbows. One for my dad at about 5" and one for me at about 9" they were small but very goof looking and very dark.. then aftet we decided the river was just not going to produce we went to twin lakes.. and there is a spot next to the dam that is open water. We went about a hundred uards past the dock. And only about 50' out. The water was 8' at the furthest hole. Suprisingly did ok! The ice is bare and very very slick. I caught 3 17" trout one jigging a gizzila and the other two on a cutt'r bug. No worm no nothing tipping them was only there for about an hour. Caught then three in about 20 min time.. missed alot of bites.. the ice was a foot thick where i was.. and it was very vocal, felt the ice shift below us a few times. Watch a couple faults form one went right under my wife and scared her pretty good..
