Fishing was slow to say the least. I did watch two guys in one of the shacks limit out in about four hours. Everyone I talked to said yesterday it took about a hour for a limit. The bite was very light today, if you could get them to bite at all. The showdown showed fish on the screen, but no takers.
The wind was blowing about 5 to 10mph. It was probably about 30 degrees. I don't know if my wife is still frozen or if she is mad at me for keeping her out for 6 hours, still hasn't said much to me. My hands and feet do not get cold, but hers do, so I really don't know that she is cold until it is to late, but it was a cold day with no sun and some wind.
It was worth the trip just to see what 18 inches of clear hard ice looks looks like. I drilled at least 25 holes and the ice gator was still going strong. Hope I get back up there this year and the fish cooperate

Sorry you didn't have a better day . Them kokannee are very light biters , plus they are down 40 feet . It makes it tough to set the hook . A spring Bobber helps detect the light bite . Better luck next time . Curt G.
