so i drove past deer creek on my way to the berry today a very thin layer of ice on about 70% of the lake think its going to make it in the next week or so ?????

We came by late this afternoon and there was a boat on the lake. It put in from the State Marine. The ice looked very thin. A good wind will blow it off.

By state marina you mean by the dam end at thee mouth of Walsberg bay? The camera is at the island bost ramp. The ice looked thin but done really want to play ice breaker with the old Skeeter.The ice an hour ago covered the spot I wanted to hit early in the morn. I will have to wait til light in the morn then that a look.

went by 2pm today, thin ice up by the dam, wallsburg and the island, lots and lots of open water.
1 fisher on the bank, no boats.

I see a boat right by the island on the deer creek cam and more empty boat trailers this morning.

it may we have a cold snap comming next week... i praying for it big time....

Lots of lake covered with ice this morning. 8AM

Wind came up and made a pretty mess of most of the ice. Lots of open water bordered by the shattered glass appearance of the ice blown off the main body.

A fair amount of ice remained around the island area. Enough ice you wouldn't want to launch a boat there.

Some kids were walking on ice near the shore in rainbow bay. 3PM

Thanks for the info. I looked on camera to looks like it was all capped except for some very small patches. May be we will get to ice fish ol Deer Creek this year. I have seen years she never capped on the main body.
