Hit the berry today, parked at the renegade ramp and headed east, boy am I out of shape! made it to the point but could not locate the fish, i moved alot, drilled a ton of holes, Just could not locate the fish today. 1 18" cut was it for me today, But thats how she goes some times, talked with a bunch of guys in the same boat,

Headed home about 1:00 and I should have stayed on the lake, some dude was trying to pull a enclosed snowmobile trailer towards renegade, on his way up the hill just past bryants fork is spun out and started so slide backwards, jackknifed the trailer banged up his truck, the trailer was off one side of the road and the truck the other, the road totally blocked, so we got to sit there for over 2 hours as they tried to get it out. Not Cool, no more trips to renegade for me, it is way iced up. Just not worth it. Time to try somewhere else on the lake.

I'm so ready for softwater again, I have had nothing but bad luck this year ice fishing, I just don't have the confidence, and I feel clumsy for some reason this year,
I guess that means I just need more ice time, but I can wish for softwater, It kills me to see the boat parked out back all lonely!

Same, same, almost same
Went east of renegade and only one fish. Went further east and no fish not even on the finder. Went further east and talked to a group who had caught 2 fish.
Fishing in about 20 feet of water. Nada

Ice conditions were great for walking and saw 4 groups with ATVs. One ATV group came over from the main marina and said travel conditions were good.

I thought the road to renegade was the better than it has been for the past few weeks. That last small snow storm helped the traction and more bare spots are showing.

The truck was gone but the trailer was there when we came out. Feel bad for the driver nothing more scary than slipping forward down a hill than sliding backwards out of control. Only way to make it up with that large of a trailer would be with a good set of chains.
Fishing is off this year. We aren't finding the fish in the secret spots like we have in years past.

We probably followed you out, as we saw the trailer still stuck there also. We were in my silver-ish Jeep Cherokee. The fishing was ok for us today at Renegade, not quite as many fish as the last couple weekends, but we still did ok. I also thought the road was in better shape than it has been the last two weekends. That spot where the trailer was jacknifed was really slick...we even slid around as we drove past it with the two officers directing traffic around it...treacherous spot. Going up or down there...don't stop and no sudden accelerations or decelerations and oh, don't be pulling a big trailer!
If you go back to Renegade, go NORTH a couple hundred yards from the parking lot, not east. That's where the fish have been at least the last 3 weekends.

I went to ladders and was slow there also I didn't catch one until 12 my kids were bringing up crawdads with minnows and watching my camera they had fun but we landed 4 pretty big fish all in slot so now they are still there.

We were there as well. We fished on the north side of Indian Creek. We were fishing by about 7:30 am. Saw a couple fish on the sonar but nothing to get excited about. Had one hit and decided to move to try and find fish. Move around quite a bit, finally ended up catching a 17 bow and that was it. Between the 5 of us we only iced 3 fish. 2 cuts and my bow. We only had maybe another 12 hits. The weather was beautiful the fishing was awesome but the catching sucked big tim. Oh well maybe this storm that is coming had something to do with it. Or the noisiness of the ice. My gosh I have never heard it so talkative. A couple of the pops and cracks were enough to really get our attention.

By the time we got to the wreck we just went on by.

A friend and my self fished in between haws point and renagade. not sure what it is called it was our first time out there. I caught 5 cuts and 1 bow my freind caught 1 bow. started out in 30 ft of water. fish on the finder and caught 2 and then it went dead. Moved further out and nada moved in to 15 ft and started catching fish again. Seemed like blue and white jig tiped with meal worm was what was getting hit most. The folks next to us were using ice flys tiped with wax worms and were doing better than us in 13 ft of water.

We came down the hill pulling a small trailer with a 4-wheeler. Our jeep got caught in the snow ruts and there was nothing we could do. We slid right into the Tongue of the jack knifed trailer. It scraped the full length of the passenger side (we were in the black Jeep Cherokee). We ended up in the ditch on the left side. Thanks to the guy in the Power Stroke that helped pull us out.

Fished Haws Point. Iced 4 cuts, all 19" - 21". Missed 15 or so. Also saw a guy drop his 4-wheeler thru the ice right at the point where the pressure ridge is. We could just see the rear tire sticking up above water line. He was able to winch it out with his Jeep.

Fished chicken creek today. Not a lot of bites. Just a all around slow day. Ice is solid 8" with a couple of people zipping by on ATVs. Talked to a bunch of groups out there, some had 2, 1, or none. Really slow.
We fished Soldier Creek. I couldn't get up there until about 4 pm on Saturday. We set up the tent and fished till about 945. Two of us caught about a dozen and a half. It was really good for us right at dusk to dark, and then it died until about 850. We caught a few for the next hour and headed out. Had to go real small with our lures to get any bites, and had to be right on the bottom. Nothing big caught, but it was fun.
