Got to the ramp about 7:20 this morning. We were the first ones there, so didn't have to worry about the ramp being froze over. Made a cold run down to the lower end. Didn't take long and I had the first fish in the boat. The bite stayed pretty steady for most of the trip. We honestly didn't move much. Just just stayed on the trolling motor and fished banks . The one cool thing for me was that I was determined to try a ( new to me) technique and make it work. I put 5 spots in the boat using that technique, so I got some confidence in it. Poor ol Davo should have caught twice as many as he did. He was busy sight seeing aparently and missed quite a few. But I missed a few myself, so I can't rag on him too much. Left the lake about 12;45. Caught at least 20 spots. No big ones, but a lot of fish between 2 and 2 3/4 lbs. If anyone wanted to get a good mess of eating sized spots, there are plenty of them up at Parksville. Davo may have a picture to post, but just took the one picture. Fun day !
