My wife put a Fisheye fishing pole camera on our Amazon wishlist for my, just because it would be kinda fun, and her brother ended up getting it for me for Christmas. We weren't expecting much but it was fun yesterday. We dropped it down at Ryder park though the ice, could see the stones on the bottom, then used some fishing line to rig it sideways and would slowly turn it to see out to the sides. The picture was better than I thought it would be, but of course not great. Saw maybe 8 fish swim by during the 5-10 minutes we were actively looking at it, and never worked with it enough to actually point it towards my worm.

It looks like they used to be $100 last year but are down to $50 some places. Deffinitely not the best, but I thought I weigh in on it. I think I'd like to get a really nice one in the future too, but this will tide me over. At least I can stick it down and say "Yes, there are fish". I also want to try it at Blacktail, I set a big umbrella shaped boulder on my GPS while the water was low, That thing should be a fish magnet.

I got one for christmas last year, it is kind of fun to use, the kids really like to play with it. Especially in shallow water like Henrys or Chesterfield. I am amazed at how many fish come up and look at your rig without even a nibble. I don't use it much in deep water, especially since I got my flasher.

The black and white ones work as well as the color. Their isn't much color at depth.

I agree with MMDon. After about 30ft deep I switch my camera back to black and white, it is better, more clarity. I only use color if its clear and less than 30 feet. If the water is dirty, I use black and white no matter what the debth. Some of them come with a light, mine has a light and it doesn't help at all. I would recommend you get a camera panner that spins in a circle so you can regulate which direction your looking. I also use the vegetation that hids your camera, it also creates structure and fish will check it out and feel safe by it. One more thing...if your catching big fish you will want to keep your camera at least 6ft away from your presentation or they will tangle up in the camera and come off. I lost a big rainbow because he did that. Hope you like your camera, I love mine.

I've got a black & white Marcum and I love it. Lately I've been setting right next to structure where a lot of white fish fry are holding. If it gets slow, I can tell when I need to start jigging again because they all scatter like crazy every time a nice fish comes through. It is a lot of fun to use and has been a really helpful tool. I would also recommend getting a panner. I prefer to set it up looking at my jig vs starting down at it from above. Also, at first, pretty much all the fish that come through look big (at least for me) but you figure out over time how to tell the big ones from the little ones.
