Can't think of a better way to spend a very cold saturday morning than out fishing for crappie! emoAngler Nothing quite like that cold blast on your face as you set off to find some big crappie! However we never really found any big crappie till much later in the day, once the sun decided to show up. Still it was great to be able to say I got to fish with another great crappie legend, David East, and I got to learn a few more new things that I am sure eventually I will be able to put this all together and one day be able to really go out by myself and catch some fish! Thanks David for taking time to show me a few new tricks emoTeacher and sharing your crappie wisdom with me! It just amazes me to see you guys out of nowhere in the open water pull in those monster crappie. He also caught a couple of bass, catfish, and a small mouth, however there was no small mouth talking when he brought that one to the boat. My ears are still buzzing from the BRAT yellingemoBadLanguage at him it was a crappie TX not a bass TX.
TWK and East added 4 TARPS to the livewell the rest were all around 10-11" post xmas dieting fish I guess (the ones I caught)
Big Fish was 2.02 @14 3/4 inches, with a fat fat belly! Another one was 2lbs, and as the Kid said "4 fish under a pound doomed us" (again probably my fish) I still had a great time, and enjoyed getting to meet lots of new people. Got to see Hal and Jake at the weigh in, along with Catfish1. Got to meet one tuff little fellow that braved the cold to fish, and congrats to Robbie McGill on the win! emoApplause emoApplause Thanks for putting on a well run TX Jerry!
