has anyone been an iced fished UL in the last few days like say pumphouse area? or afbh. are ice conditions still good and hows the fishin i havent hit it at all this year and thats usually the first place i hit, any info would be great. thanks guys

I have been doing really good for multi species at afbh the last week .

How thick is the ice in the harbor?

Its stiill a good 8 or 9 in.

Fished the pumphouse on Saturday for a couple of hours. Several people in the harbor. Started fishing by the pumphouse and ice was only an inch thich and cracking all around. Fishing was hot but not worth it. Left becasue it was too risky. Not much other action in the harbor. I am sure after the cold we have had the ice will be thicker. Inlet park is all open water. The gates are open and will be the rest of the spring.

It is suppose to be warm on Saturdya be careful you don't get to close to the pumphouse. If the ice is thick the closer you get to the walls the better. I am hitting the "Port" on Saturday. Good luck and let us know how you do.

thanks odthefly im sketchin on the pumphouse too so ill probly hit afbh sat since thats were i usually do good for lots of different species, if anyone wants to join me ill be there.

If you are not using a Sonar that may be helpful for Whities

dont have sonars but i always get em with ice flys and kastmasters, spoons etc. if there bitin it doesent really matter but if there finicky ive seen the sonars pick them up better than standard panfish rigs.
